Well, we're officially announcing our pregnancy. Baby #3 is due Sept. 1- so that puts me about 8 weeks and 3 days along. I have been eating a LOT and sleeping more than normal- naps during the day, and feeling a bit nauseated. (Haven't thrown-up yet. Speaking of which, why can't there be a better way of putting it? Upchucking, tossing your cookies, puked...just no nice way of saying it. Anyway...) So, I had a few down days, and when the girls asked me why I was eating Cheerios (again) for dinner, I told them that's what my sick tummy wanted. Then, last Monday, I told the girls that on Tuesday, I was going to see the doctor to find out why my tummy had been hurting so much. Tuesday, went to the doc, saw the heartbeat, came home just in time for Maci to get off the bus. First words out of her mouth, "Mommy, how does your tummy feel? Did the doctor know why your tummy hurts? I told Miss Terri (the bus driver) that your tummy was hurting and she said she'd pray for you." Awww, so I told her to come in the house, and we sat Lexi and her down on the couch. I said, "The doctor said the reason why my tummy hurts is because there's a BABY growing in there!" Both girls sat, wide-eyed and said, "CAN WE SEE?" Hahaha, we showed them the sketchy gray picture from the ultrasound, and said it was about as long as Lexi's little finger. Then they started spouting off names. Maci- "If it's a girl, then we'll call it BreAnn. If it's a boy, we'll call him Brayden- because he's my boyfriend at school." Lexi said, "I think if it's a boy, we should call it Daddy or Dad." Me- "But, you already have a Daddy." Lexi- "No, Daddy's name is Howard. This boy's name will be Daddy or Dad."
This morning after we woke up, Maci asked if the baby was bigger now. I think it's gonna be a L O N G 9 months.

Again, congrats! You're almost done with the 1st trimester, so maybe you won't be throwin' up at all, and the nausea will subside. We'll all "pray for you". :D
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS!!! We are so excited for you guys. You will have some great helpers. It sounds like they can't wait. Good luck with getting through the 1st trimester. We were sad we didn't get to see you around the holidays. Hopefully this spring we can stop up in Rexburg.
