Randomness

It's been a month since I wrote. Here's some random things we've been doing.

Last Monday, we went on a boat ride with my parents. G-pa H. even let both girls drive the boat! It was a bit chilly on the water, but it was nice and relaxing. On the way home, I asked Maci what her favorite part was. Her reply, "When my hair was blowing in the wind like a mermaid's."

She started school last week. On Thursday, she came home sick- with a cough, sore throat, fever, congestion, and pink eye. She shared her pink eye with Lexi on Saturday. I took them both into the doc to get perscription eye drops, and to see if Maci had strep (luckily, no). Bad timing to have sick kids at home. They're feeling much better today.

Baby comes this Wednesday! We're just about ready. Finished all the laundry yesterday. Bought some diapers and have started my mental list for packing. Tomorrow is my last dr's appointment. I'll mostly be filling out forms for my hospital stay. I've been feeling fairly well up until about a month ago. Everything is achy and sleep is sporadic. Lexi told me this morning, "Mom, you're fat, but you're still kinda pretty." Aww. She also informs me often that I 'have a big bum'. Love the honesty, child. We enjoy our time together while Maci's at school. We played Barbies last week. She named my Barbie 'Boolock'. Hers was Diamond Heart Princess.

I was a little stressed about everything that is scheduled to happen while I was in the hospital. Mostly about the check-out/white glove clean checks for our current tenants on the 4th, and then all the new tenants moving in for the fall semester on Sept. 6. THANKFULLY, I have a GREAT husband who has taken the next 12 days off to help out. Now, I can rest at ease. He's so sweet! And G-ma O. will be here to help with the girls. Think we'll all be taken care of.

Life is good, and we are blessed. Have a great week!
