Gooble Gobble

We had Thanksgiving at Mom and Dad Hunter's this year. Howie volunteered to make the turkey, since we had never cooked a turkey in all of our 8 years together. Why not experiment on the in-laws, right? Haha. He is a good cook, and looked for a good recipe. Found one on allrecipes.com where we put the 16 pound turkey in brine for 3 days. The brine was made up of Kosher salt, water, lemon slices, orange slices, bay leaves, and some other spices. It was moist and had great flavor. I feel bad that we didn't get any pictures!

It's our tradition, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, to go to the mountains to look for a Christmas Tree. (Well- the guys look, and the kids and women stay behind to sled. Although, Howie hated the hike for a tree last year, so we got a fake one- and I doubt we'll go back.) Hadley wasn't too impressed with the snow.
