Wild Adventures!

With Howie having 4 days off, we get to do a lot of fun things. One day we went to the zoo. It was perfect weather for the zoo.

But this last weekend, we decided to go camping. We loaded up the truck, and headed for the hills. As we got further into the mountains, we started running into snow. It was no big deal, at first... but then we got stuck in a snow drift, and we had forgotten to bring a shovel. We saw a clearing off to the side of the road, and figured it was the perfect campsite. It was beautiful- 70 degrees, about 4 p.m. We grilled burgers on the campstove and had s'mores for dessert.

That evening, a guy came along on his 4-wheeler and pulled us out. We slept warm that night, and I slept with ease knowing if any bear, wolf, or mountain lion came along, Sadie (our dog) would wake us up.

Next day, we had French toast, sausage, and orange juice, and went for a hike to the lake.

After lunch, we packed up camp and drove up to some waterfalls. It was such a perfect, relaxing day!
